Report on revenue per seller, split between them

Available on all plansHow-toOpen in DealJourney

Two people often work one deal. Revenue splits is the data source that reports the money that way: one row per deal and per person, with the deal's value already multiplied by that person's share of it.

  1. 1Open Reports and start a new custom report as in Build a custom report.
  2. 2Set the Data Source to Revenue splits.
  3. 3Add a metric with Count or total from records: sum of Weighted amount for the deal value, or Weighted MRR and Weighted ARR for recurring money.
  4. 4Set Group By to User name for one row per seller.
  5. 5Add a condition with Add condition on Stage so only won deals count, and set the date field to Close date so the period means "sold in this period".

A deal nobody has split counts fully to its owner. You do not have to set anything up to use this report: until somebody records a split on a deal, its whole value goes to the person the deal is assigned to, so the numbers match what you would get from the deals themselves.

A deal with no owner and no contributors appears in nobody's total. There is no person to credit it to, so the seller totals can come out lower than plain won value. That gap is unassigned work, and it is worth looking at rather than hiding.

The amounts are in each deal's own currency and are not converted. Group by Currency as well when your deals are in more than one, or the total adds kroner to euros.

You can put a split figure above the deals list too. It is the one number that is allowed on a page it does not strictly measure, because it is still a number about your deals. See Choose which KPIs a list page shows.
