Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
1. Introduction
DealJourney ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at dealjourneycrm.com and use our services.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in various ways, including:
- Personal Data: Name, email address, company name, phone number, and other contact details you provide when creating an account or contacting us.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our services, including pages visited, features used, and time spent.
- Device Data: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies for functionality and optional analytics cookies to improve our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain our services
- To process your transactions and manage your account
- To communicate with you about updates, support, and marketing (with your consent)
- To improve our services and develop new features
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist in providing our services (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing).
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@dealjourneycrm.com.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. How We Improve Dealy
When you use Dealy, our AI assistant, we record your messages, Dealy's responses, the tools it invokes, and related metadata (timing, token usage, errors). DealJourney engineers may review these records to debug issues and improve the assistant. The records stay inside DealJourney's infrastructure — we do not sell them, share them with advertisers, or use them to train third-party AI models. Access is restricted to platform-level staff under the same controls that apply to your other CRM data. We are working on a per-account opt-out; until that ships, recording is on by default. Questions or compliance requirements: privacy@dealjourneycrm.com.
9. Browser Extension (DealJourney Connect)
DealJourney Connect is our browser extension that helps DealJourney users capture business contacts from supported web pages and save them to their own DealJourney workspace.
Public beta: The extension is currently in public beta. You may encounter bugs or fields that don't extract correctly. Please report issues to support@dealjourneycrm.com.
What the extension handles:
- Contact data you capture: When you click "scan" or use the right-click menu on a supported page (LinkedIn profile, X profile, Gmail message), the extension reads contact details visible on that page — name, title, company, email, phone, location, profile photo URL, and social handles. It only reads pages you actively choose to capture, and does not run in the background or read sites outside the permission list in its manifest.
- Account and session data: To connect to DealJourney, the extension sends your email and password to our authentication provider (Supabase) and stores the resulting session tokens, your user ID, email address, and workspace ID locally on your device.
- Your preferences: Extension settings, your pending import queue, and a list of recently imported contacts are stored locally on your device.
Captured contact data is sent to your DealJourney workspace to create leads, contacts, companies, and notes — only at your instruction. Account data is used solely to authenticate you and route imports to the correct workspace. The extension contains no advertising, no analytics, and no usage tracking, and it does not sell or rent personal data.
You can sign out from the extension's settings to clear your session, clear the import queue or import history to remove locally stored contact data, or uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data.
The extension requests only the access needed to read supported pages on your command (LinkedIn, Gmail, X) and to communicate with the DealJourney and Supabase backends. It does not request access to your browsing history, your local files, or sites beyond those listed in its manifest.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for the functioning of our website. We also use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how visitors interact with our site. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.
11. Changes to This Policy
