Team chat
Teamchatt is DealJourney's own answer to Slack or Microsoft Teams for talking to your colleagues. Channels, direct messages, threads, mentions, files and reactions all work the way you expect, so a team can move its day-to-day messaging here instead of keeping a separate chat tool.
What it gives you that a separate chat tool cannot:
- Point at the actual customer or deal. Type @ and a record's name and the message links straight to it, instead of someone pasting a name and everyone searching for it. Turn a chat message into CRM work
- See who is really around. A colleague shows as active when they are using DealJourney anywhere, not just when a chat window is open. Direct messages and mention groups
- One place to work. Messages arrive in the top bar of the system you are already working in, with the same login. No second app to keep open, sign into or switch to.
- Dealy in the conversation. Name him in a message and he answers there, with your CRM data behind him. Ask Dealy inside a conversation
The conversation about a deal and the deal itself stop living in two different products.
Open it from Teamchatt in the top bar. The badge reads Teamchatt, {{count}} olästa.
The pieces:
- Channels — a named conversation anyone in the channel can read. Channels
- Direct messages — one person, or a few. Direct messages and mention groups
- Threads — a side conversation off one message, so a channel does not become three overlapping arguments. Threads
- Mentions and activity — one place for everything that named you. Mentions, your activity queue, and search
- Guests — people without a DealJourney account, invited into one conversation and nothing else. Invite someone from outside
Why not just use email. A channel keeps the history where the next person can find it. When somebody new picks up an account, the reasoning is there, rather than in the sent items of whoever handled it last.
Chat is not the CRM record. A decision made in chat that matters to a customer belongs on the customer as a note, and chat can turn a message into one: Turn a chat message into CRM work. Anything only in chat is invisible to everyone who was not in the channel that day.
On a phone. Swipe right across a conversation to return to the channel list. In a thread or a reading panel, swipe right to close that panel first. Start on ordinary text or empty space; scrolling sideways through a table or code block and working in the composer keep their normal behaviour. You can also use the back or close button.
On mobile, the global header is hidden while you are in team chat. To leave chat, open the channel list and use Översikt (the arrow at the top) to go straight to your dashboard.
Reactions below a message show up to three overlapping profile pictures, followed by a +N count when more people have reacted. Hover over a reaction, or press and hold it on a phone, to see names. Click or tap to add or remove your own reaction; a purple border shows when you have reacted, while the background stays neutral. Reactions are visible to the people in the conversation.
