Forum channels
A forum is a kind of channel. Instead of one running conversation, it is a list of posts. Every post has a subject, and the discussion about it happens in its replies, so ten topics never get mixed into one stream. It suits questions, ideas, bug reports and anything else where each topic deserves its own answer.
Make a forum
A new channel. Press Ny kanal and set the channel's purpose to forum before you create it.
An existing channel. Open Kanalinnstillinger, and on Generelt set Kanaltype to Forum. Vanlige kanaler kan ogs? kobles til saker og sprinter. Sakskanaler er viet til saksoppdateringer; forum organiserer samtaler i innlegg og svar. Only the channel's owners and admins, and a workspace administrator for the workspace's own channels, can change it.
Write a post
- 1Open the forum and press the new post button at the top of the list.
- 2Write the Emne. Dette er linjen folk ser i listen.
- 3Write the post itself underneath, and send it.
A post you started but did not send is kept as a draft, and the button shows a dot until you finish it.
Open a post to read and write its replies. They work like any other thread: Threads.
Find your way around
- Søk i innlegg… searches the posts in the forum.
- Filter narrows the list. Several filters can be on at once, and a post must match all of them: Åpen, Må kontrolleres, Løst, Jeg deltar, Ulest, Ingen svar ennå and Knyttet til en sak, plus the forum's tags.
- Sorter innlegg orders them by Siste aktivitet, Nyeste innlegg, Eldste innlegg or Flest svar.
Tags
The tags a forum offers are set in Kanalinnstillinger under Forumetiketter, separated by commas, for example idé, feil, spørsmål. Innlegg kan merkes med disse etikettene, og listen kan filtreres på dem. To tag a post, use Rediger etiketter on the post in the list. Only tags from the forum's own list can be used.
Mark a post as done
Anyone in the channel can tick a post off as Løst, and tick it again to reopen it. The message that confirms it has an undo, in case you hit the tick by mistake.
