Call a colleague

Calling someone rings them. A card appears on their screen wherever they are in DealJourney, with your name and photo, a ringtone, and Besvar / Afvis. They do not have to be reading chat, and nothing is posted in the conversation.

This is different from starting a huddle, which opens a room and posts a join link for everyone in the channel. Use a call to reach one person now; use a huddle when you want whoever is around to drop in.

Calling from a direct message. Open the conversation and use Start et opkald in the header, then Lydopkald or Videoopkald. Audio is the same call with your camera off, and you can turn it on at any point.

Calling from a channel. A channel call is for one named person, so the same menu offers Ring til en person. Pick them from the list and it rings only them. The audio and video entries above them still start the old link-based huddle for the whole channel, and a live one keeps showing Huddle i gang to everybody.

Calling from inside a call. Once you are on a call, the control bar has Ring til en kollega. Search, pick a face, and they are rung into the room you are already sitting in.

While it rings. You see a small card with their photo and Ringer…, and a button to hang up. Three things can happen:

• They answer: the card disappears and they arrive on the call.
• They decline: the card says so and clears itself.
• Nobody picks up: after about forty seconds it gives up with Intet svar. If the call came from a channel, a missed call note is left in that conversation, so the call is not simply invisible to the person who missed it.

A call reaches one person at a time. The call itself is between two people, so ringing a whole channel at once is deliberately not offered. The third person to answer would arrive in a room that cannot hold them. To get several people together, start a huddle and let them join the link.

If your colleague never sees the card. They have to be signed in to DealJourney with a tab open; a ring is not an email or a push notification and it does not wait for them. A call that rings out is gone after forty seconds and has to be placed again.
