Approving and undoing what Dealy does

Dealy changes real records, so there are two safety nets around it.

Approval. Some changes are staged rather than run straight away. Dealy tells you what is waiting and stops, and the change happens when you press Godkend og fortsæt. By default, anything that creates, changes, deletes or sends pauses for a look, and anything that only reads goes ahead.

You can change that action by action. In Dealy's settings, open Tilladelser and pick an action, such as sending an email or creating a customer. Each one can be set to:

  • Blokeret: Dealy cannot do it at all, and will tell you it is switched off if you ask.
  • Kræver godkendelse: Dealy shows an approval card every time.
  • Tillad altid: Dealy does it without asking.

Nulstil til standard puts an action back to how it started. Your choices are your own and apply in the workspace you set them in. Be careful with Tillad altid on anything that sends, such as emails, replies on support cases and offers: those reach people outside your team and cannot be undone.

If Dealy has stopped and is waiting, nothing has happened yet. Approving is what makes it real; ignoring it leaves your data untouched. An approval that waits too long expires, and if you press it after that Dealy tells you that nothing was done.

A change to many records at once shows on the card how many records it covers, for example all 201 that match, and what each current value becomes with how many records hold it, for example "Prospect -> Customer: 87, Partner -> Customer: 7, already Customer: 3". Check that line for values you did not mean to change before you approve. After you approve, Dealy says exactly how many were changed, names any it could not save, and then carries on with the rest of what it said it would do. Only one approval waits at a time, so a next step that also needs your approval arrives as a new card once you have answered the first one.

Dealy changes the fields you can see. If an old field, for example one brought over from an import, has been switched off in your field settings, Dealy will not write to it, even when it has the same name as a field on screen, unless you name that exact field yourself.

Once an automation is saved, you do not need to confirm it again. Repeating its confirmation returns the saved rule. If a confirmation has expired, Dealy checks what was already saved before proposing another rule.

Undo. After a reply that changed things, Fortryd ændringer reverses what that reply did. Dealy tells you how many changes it is about to reverse before it does it.

Undo is not unlimited. Some actions cannot be taken back automatically (anything that left DealJourney, such as an email that was sent), and Dealy says so plainly rather than pretending otherwise: {{count}} andre ændring(er) kan ikke fortrydes automatisk og bevares.

To see every change Dealy has made, including in older conversations, and undo them one at a time, see See and undo what Dealy changed.

Because of these two nets, letting Dealy act is usually safer than it feels. The risk worth actually watching is not a wrong record (that is revertible) but a confident number in a summary. Check totals against a filtered list or a report before passing them on.
