Decide who can change prices and discounts on a sale
A workspace can decide, role by role, who may move the price away from the catalogue and who may give a discount. A role without the right still does everything else on a sale: it creates the deal, adds products, changes quantities and sends the quote.
Turn it off for a role
- 1Open Admin and go to Rolletilgang under Tilgang og rettigheter.
- 2Open the Handlinger tab and choose the role.
- 3Find Endre priser og rabatter under Mulighetsdetaljer. Søk etter handling finds it if you type "price".
- 4Untick it and press Lagre alle endringer.
Every role has it until you turn it off, so nothing changes for anyone until you do. Workspace administrators always keep it, whatever their role says.
What a role without it cannot do
- Change the unit price on a line that is already on the deal or one of its quotes.
- Give or change a discount on a line, as a percentage or an amount.
- Type a different offer price, since that works out a discount.
- Add a catalogue product at a price that is not one of that product's own prices. The list price, a promotional price and a price from an active price list all count as the product's own.
- Change the discount on the whole quote.
In the quote editor those boxes show the figure but cannot be edited. Hovering one says Rollen din kan ikke endre priser eller gi rabatt. Spør en administrator hvis dette må endres.
It is checked when the deal is saved, not only on screen. A save that changes a price or discount for a role without the right is refused with a message naming the line, and nothing on the deal changes. Ask someone who has the right, or an administrator, to make the change.
Still allowed: a free-text line with no catalogue product behind it, since there is no list price to protect, and any change to quantities.
