Publish a product update
This is for DealJourney platform staff. Being an administrator of a customer company does not grant access.
A product update has two halves. The article is the long version on the public website, written in the blog editor. The in-app announcement is the short version people see inside DealJourney: a title and up to six highlights of two sentences each, with a picture and, where it helps, a button. They are written separately, because a slide and an article section say different amounts, but they share their pictures.
Write the article first, then choose Hva er nytt? from the article editor to open its announcement. A new announcement starts from the article: one highlight per section, its first two sentences, its picture, and the article's translations. Trim each highlight, then choose the module it belongs to and what its button does. A button's words must match what it does; a highlight with no honest destination is better with no button.
Wrap one phrase of a highlight title in asterisks to paint it in the brand gradient in the announcement.
Translate the announcement into Norwegian, Swedish and Danish in its translations section. Every language shares the same pictures. A field left blank shows the English words for that field alone.
To change a screenshot, replace it on the highlight. It changes in the announcement, on every site where the announcement is live, and in the article in every language, at once.
Releasing happens on the site you are using. The staging super admin releases to staging, the production super admin to production, and there is no way to release to another site from here. The linked article must be published first. Editing an announcement changes its draft; readers keep seeing what was released until you release it again. Releasing again never reopens an announcement people have already closed.
The engagement section shows announcement views, article visits and feature opens. It does not claim that opening a feature means someone adopted it.
