Fields, and who fills each one

A field is a blank in the document that somebody fills in. The single most important property is whose blank it is.

Field types: Tekst, Lang tekst, Dato, Tal, E-mail, Afkrydsningsfelt, Rullemenu, Underskrift and Initialer.

Adding them. Indsæt felt puts one in. Feltsektion groups several together; Indtastningsfelt — Indsæt et indtastningsfelt i teksten — drops one into a sentence.

Assigning them. In Feltindstillinger you set who fills it: the panel shows {{role}} udfylder det, and in the document you see {{role}} udfylder dette. If nobody has been added yet you are told Tilføj en underskriver først.

A field you fill is not a field they fill. Anything you already know — their company name, the price, the start date — should be filled by you before sending, not left as a blank for them to complete. Every blank you leave is a chance for them to get it wrong and a reason for them to put the document down.

Making them clear. Feltnavn names it, Vises inde i det tomme felt and Valgfrit hint under feltet explain it. A field labelled with a question the signer can answer without ringing you is worth the extra seconds.

Sections that appear only when relevant.
