Invoice a deal in e-conomic
Some teams want the invoice the moment a deal is won. Others want bookkeeping to decide when. The Faktura i e-conomic card, in the right-hand column of a deal's overview, is the second way: open the sale when it is time to invoice it, and press one button.
The card only appears for a workspace that has e-conomic connected, and only once we know whether that sale has been invoiced already.
Raise the invoice
- 1Open the deal and stay on its overview.
- 2In Faktura i e-conomic, press Opprett fakturaen i e-conomic.
- 3Confirm. Det opprettes et fakturautkast i e-conomic for dette salget, med linjer, referanser og selger. Det blir ikke bokført, og ingenting sendes til kunden.
What lands in e-conomic carries the customer, the deal's lines, the references and the salesperson as your reference. The salesperson only comes across if that DealJourney user has been matched to their person in e-conomic, which is Match accounting-system salespeople to DealJourney users.
The customer does not have to exist in e-conomic first. It is created there if it is missing, and so are any products the lines need.
It stays a draft
Nothing is booked and nothing is emailed to the customer. Booking cannot be undone, so that step belongs to whoever finishes the invoice in e-conomic.
You cannot invoice the same sale twice
Once a sale has an invoice, the card shows its number instead of the button, marked Utkast or Bokført. Pressing the button twice in a row does nothing the second time, and a sale that was already invoiced by the automatic route is recognised the same way.
If the card says Vi fikk ikke sjekket om dette salget er fakturert., we could not reach e-conomic to look. Nothing has been sent. Try again before invoicing, so you do not raise a second invoice without knowing.
Automatic or by hand
The setting that raises the invoice by itself when a deal is won lives on the e-conomic settings page, and it governs only that. Turning it off is what most finance teams want: it stops invoices appearing on their own, and this button is how they raise each one deliberately. The button works either way.
