Copy an opportunity
Copying is the quickest way to send the same offer again, to the same customer later or to a new one.
- 1Open the opportunity you want to copy.
- 2Choose Kopier tilbud.
- 3Check the new opportunity and save it.
What the copy brings with it
Every product line comes across exactly as it stands on the original: product, quantity, price, discount, cost price and margin. The customer, contact and payment terms come along too.
A few things start fresh, because the copy is a new offer:
- The name gets "(Copy)" added, so you can tell the two apart.
- It starts in the first stage of your pipeline.
- The close date is set 30 days ahead, the same as a new opportunity, so the customer never receives a new offer carrying an old date.
You can also choose to bring the original's notes, calls, emails and meetings across with Kopier også log-poster fra kilden.
When prices have changed since the offer was made
Before the copy is made, every line is checked against your product list. If a product's price or cost there is different from the original offer, for example because you corrected your price list, the window Priserne har ændret sig, siden tilbuddet blev lavet shows each product with both figures side by side. You choose:
- Behold tallene fra tilbuddet copies the lines exactly as the offer had them, including any price you negotiated for that customer.
- Brug tallene fra produktlisten uses today's price and cost from the product list on those lines, and works the margin out again from them.
Only lines linked to a product are checked. A line you typed by hand, or a product priced in a different currency from the offer, is always copied as it is. When nothing has changed, the copy is made straight away without asking.
