Report on what changed in a period

A list can already show the records whose field changed to a value in a period (Filter by what changed). A report asks the same question and then does what a list cannot: count them per seller, total their value, and arrive by email every month.

  1. 1Build a report as in Build a custom report and pick the kind of record, for example deals.
  2. 2In the Filtre card, choose Legg til en endring.
  3. 3In Felt som ble endret, pick the field, for example a phase or status. Only fields that have really been changed on these records are offered.
  4. 4Next to it, pick endret til, endret fra or endret, and then the value. The values offered are the ones the field has really been changed to.
  5. 5Pick when the change happened. It starts on Forrige måned. Choose Mellom datoer for fixed dates.
  6. 6Set the measures and the grouping as usual, for example a count and the sum of the deal value, grouped by owner, and save.

The report counts every record where that one change happened in that period. A deal that reached the phase in June and was moved back and forth in August is not counted as an August change.

A named period keeps moving. Last month means the month before the day the report runs, so a report emailed on the first of every month (Email figures to yourself or your team on a schedule) always reports the month just gone.

It combines with everything else. A change condition is an ordinary filter, so add a seller, a product or a region beside it as usual.

Grouping is by the record's own fields. The seller, the value and the other columns are what the record says today. One column per month of the change is not available yet.
