Save your own templates and sections
There are two sizes of reuse, and picking the right one saves a lot of tidying up later.
A whole document
Use this when the entire contract repeats: same wording, same clauses, same signing roles. Open the document, press Lagre som mal, give it a name, and it appears under Lagret av selskapet ditt the next time anyone starts a document.
One section
Use this when only a piece repeats. The confidentiality clause you paste into everything. The block of fields you rebuild for every new hire. The party card with your own company already filled in.
Hover the section in the editor, open its menu, and choose Save as reusable section. Name it, and optionally say when it should be used, which is what colleagues see when they are choosing. From then on it sits under Your sections at the bottom of Legg til i dokumentet.
What comes with it, and what does not
A saved section keeps its shape: the field names, their types, which are required, how wide they are, who fills each one, and any wording.
It does not keep what you typed into it. That is on purpose. If you save "Employment details" off a signed contract, the salary in it belongs to that one person, and carrying it into the next hire's contract is the kind of mistake nobody notices until it has been signed. The dialog lists exactly which values are being emptied before you save.
Merge fields are the exception and always come with it. A merge field is an instruction rather than a number, so it fills itself in against whichever document you drop it into. That is usually the most useful part of the section.
If you genuinely want the values kept, turn on Keep what I've typed in in the save dialog.
Managing them
Open Maler and switch to Sections. You can rename each one, change the note about when to use it, and remove ones that have stopped being true. The list is ordered by how often each is used, so the ones your team actually reaches for stay at the top.
Removing a section never touches documents that already used it. Adding a section drops a copy into the document, so from that moment it is yours to edit and nothing links back.
To change what is inside a saved section, add it to a document, edit it there, and save it as a section again.
