Milestones on a project
A milestone is a checkpoint on a project: a date by which something agreed has to be true. The bar at the top of every project page, above the tabs, draws the project from its start date to its deadline, with a dot for each milestone and a line for today. Hover a dot to read its name, date and description. A filled dot is done, a red one is overdue.
Adding and editing happens on the Milestones tab. Clicking the bar takes you there.
- 1Type a name in Add a milestone… and press Enter.
- 2Set its date. A milestone with No date is kept, but has nowhere to sit on a line of time, so the bar counts it instead of drawing it.
- 3Optionally, Add a description: what has to be true for it to count as done. It shows when someone hovers the dot.
- 4Tick the circle in front of it when it is reached.
The bar shows nothing? It needs a span to draw. Give the project a start and end date (Edit details), or date at least two milestones.
