Create a project
- 1Open Projekter from the sidebar and go to the projects view.
- 2Create a new project and name it after what is being delivered, not after the customer alone: most customers eventually have more than one.
- 3Link it to the customer, and to the opportunity it came from if there is one. Once you have picked the customer, their own deals are listed first under Denne kunde, with every other deal still below them. A customer that does not exist yet can be made on the spot: type its name and choose Opret ny kunde at the bottom of the list. It is chosen for the project as soon as it is saved.
- 4Pick the Kontaktperson among the customer's contacts, or create a new one the same way. This is the person the project's accounting system gets as its contact person.
- 5Ejer starts as you; change it if someone else runs the project.
- 6Set Start and Deadline.
- 7Open Fakturering to set Faktureringsmetode, Aftalt pris or Timepris, Timebudget and Afdeling. All optional, and all changeable later under invoicing on the project (see Invoice a project, in parts or by the hour, and see what it earned).
- 8Save, then add the work as tasks.
Set the budget even when it is a guess. Without it, Forbrugte timer has nothing to be measured against, and the project reports as healthy no matter how much time goes into it. An approximate budget makes overrun visible; no budget hides it completely.
Link it to the deal. That link is what lets anyone compare what was sold with what delivery actually cost, which is the only reliable way to find out whether a type of work is worth selling at the price you charge.
For repeatable deliveries, choose a reusable plan under Start med when creating the project. See Reuse project plans with templates for creating and maintaining your own templates.
Every project gets a number. A new project is numbered automatically, one higher than the last in your workspace, and the number shows on the board card, at the top of the project page and in the Nr. column of the list. Search for it like a name. A project that comes from your accounting system shows that system's project code instead.
Customer name in the project name. An admin can switch on Sæt kundens navn foran projektnavnet under Projekter in tenancy settings. Når et projekt får en kunde, bliver navnet "Kunde - Projektnavn", så tavlen med det samme viser, hvis projekt det er. Skifter du kunde, skiftes navnet foran, og et navn, der allerede indeholder kunden, bliver ikke ændret.
Sending it to PowerOffice. In a workspace connected to PowerOffice, the project page shows whether the project has reached PowerOffice yet and, once it has, under which PowerOffice project number. A new project normally goes with the next automatic sync. Choose Send til PowerOffice nu to send it straight away, for example when you need the project number for an order. If PowerOffice turns it down, the page says why and you can send it again after fixing it.
Link the project to a company goal if it is meant to serve one (Tilknyt et projekt…), so the objective shows the work behind it rather than being an aspiration nobody can trace.
Archiving or deleting a project
Archive a project that is finished. Choose Arkivér in the project's menu: on the project page or side panel, use Flere handlinger; in the list view, use the menu at the end of the row. An archived project leaves the everyday lists, but nothing in it is deleted, and archiving can be undone.
Seeing archived projects again. Open Indstillinger at the top of the projects page and tick Vis arkiverede. Archived projects then appear marked Arkiveret, and in the list view grouped by status they get a group of their own at the bottom. Searching by name finds archived projects too.
Restoring one. Open the archived project's menu and choose Gendan. It is back in the everyday lists straight away.
Deleting is permanent. Slet is the last item in the same menus, and on the board card's menu as well. It names the project and asks before it removes it. Dette sletter projektet permanent. Opgaverne bevares, men frakobles. There is no undo, so archive instead unless the project should never have existed.
Below any items specific to the page, the project page menu holds, in order, Fakturering og økonomi, Dupliker, Konvertér til opgavegruppe…, Arkivér and Slet.
