Plan people across projects

The people view answers the question a project board cannot: not "how is this project going" but "can we take on the next one".

It shows each person against time, with what they are committed to. From there you can see who has room, who is fully booked, and who is over-allocated — promised to more work than the hours in their week.

Over-allocation is a planning signal, not a rule violation. Nothing stops you assigning someone beyond capacity, because sometimes that is the honest position and the point is to make it visible. What you must not do is leave it invisible until the person misses a deadline and tells you afterwards.

Plan at the level you can keep true. Allocating in whole days or half days that people actually maintain beats a precise plan nobody updates. A resource plan is only useful if it reflects reality, and the effort of keeping it exact is usually what kills it.

Look before you commit. The value of this view is in the conversation before a deal is signed — whether there is capacity to deliver in the timescale being promised. Checked afterwards, it only tells you how late you are going to be.

Capacity depends on hours actually being recorded against projects. Without that, Använda tim stays empty and both the plan and the project health are guesses.
