Opportunities

An opportunity is a specific deal you're actively working with a customer: a defined value, an expected close date, and a stage in your sales pipeline. Unlike a lead, an opportunity assumes the relationship is real; you're now negotiating, scoping, or closing.

Each opportunity belongs to a customer. You can have many opportunities against the same customer over time, for example, a new contract every renewal cycle, or separate deals for different products. The customer record is the long-lived entity; opportunities come and go.

Opportunities move through stages (your sales pipeline) until they either close as won or close as lost. The forecast and reporting views in DealJourney aggregate across stages so you can see the health of the pipeline at a glance: total value by stage, conversion rates, average time to close, and so on.

When you close an opportunity as won, that's where the real customer relationship begins: invoices, subscriptions, and ongoing account-management activities flow from won opportunities. Marking won and lost outcomes accurately is what gives the reports any signal at all, so it's worth being disciplined about it.

Workspace administrators can edit each standard card above the deals list with Redigera KPI:er. Under Faser som ska räknas, keep the default population or select the exact pipeline stages to count. An empty selection counts no deals; Ingen fas includes deals without a stage. These choices apply to everyone in the workspace and still respect each viewer’s access and the current list filters. The table and Kanban columns are unchanged.

For Genomsn. affärsstorlek, choose Öppna or Vunna under Beräkna genomsnitt för affärer som är and a period. Won averages use the deal’s close date; deals without one cannot belong to a bounded won period. Open averages use creation date. Selected stages further narrow the chosen open or won population. The average divides the selected value by the selected deal count, with each currency converted once to the workspace’s base currency. Preset periods and custom inclusive from/to dates are retained when the cards are saved. Custom periods can span up to three years.
