Custom objects

Skapa dina egna objekttyper (som ”Leasingbilar” eller ”Kontrakt”) med egna poster och anpassade fält.

Every business has something the standard CRM does not model. A leasing company has vehicles; a training company has courses; a property manager has buildings. A custom object gives that thing its own list, its own records and its own fields, and puts it in the sidebar next to everything else.

Custom object or custom field? This is the choice to get right, and it is not close once you ask the question properly:

• If the thing is a property of a customer — their contract number, their segment, their renewal date — it is a custom field on the customer. See Add a custom field.
• If the thing exists in its own right, can be listed, and there can be many of them per customer — it is an object.

One customer with fifteen leased cars is fifteen records, not fifteen fields.

What a record gets for free. Varje post får automatiskt ett inbyggt <strong>Namn</strong> (huvudrubriken), plus valfria kolumner för <strong>Status</strong> och <strong>Ägare</strong>. Det här är inte anpassade fält – lägg till allt annat du behöver som anpassade fält när objektet är skapat.
