Fields, and who fills each one

A field is a blank in the document that somebody fills in. The single most important property is whose blank it is.

Field types: Text, Lång text, Datum, Tal, E-post, Kryssruta, Rullgardinsmeny, Signatur and Initialer.

Adding them. Infoga fält puts one in. Fältavsnitt groups several together; Inmatningsfält — Infoga ett inmatningsfält i texten — drops one into a sentence.

Assigning them. In Fältinställningar you set who fills it: the panel shows {{role}} fyller i det, and in the document you see {{role}} fyller i detta. If nobody has been added yet you are told Lägg till en undertecknare först.

A field you fill is not a field they fill. Anything you already know — their company name, the price, the start date — should be filled by you before sending, not left as a blank for them to complete. Every blank you leave is a chance for them to get it wrong and a reason for them to put the document down.

Making them clear. Fältnamn names it, Visas inuti det tomma fältet and Valfri ledtråd under fältet explain it. A field labelled with a question the signer can answer without ringing you is worth the extra seconds.

Sections that appear only when relevant. That is how one template covers both the with-support and without-support version of an agreement. Lägg först till ett fält någon annanstans i dokumentet — ett villkor måste bevaka ett fält.

Check before sending. Innan du skickar catches the two that ruin a send: {{count}} signaturblock saknar tilldelad undertecknare. and {{count}} fält är tilldelade en motpart, men ingen motpart har lagts till som undertecknare. It also warns about Mer än ett fält heter "{{label}}".
