Start a quote from a template
Most quotes are not new. The same job, the same standard package, the same terms — typed again. A template is a quote you have already built, saved so anyone can start from it.
Save one
Open the quote you want to reuse, choose Lagre som mal from its menu, and give it a name. Tick what it should keep:
- Linjene og antallene — the articles and how many of each.
- Vilkårene – periode, fakturering, oppsigelse — the agreement period, how often you invoice, the notice.
- Always sell it for this amount — one price for the whole job, instead of adding up the lines.
Anything you do not tick is left alone when the template is used, so a template that only carries terms never wipes out the lines on the quote it lands on.
Start from one
On the Tilbud tab, use Nytt tilbud. Besides an empty quote you can start from:
- Det dette firmaet fikk sist — what this company was quoted the last time, on any deal. No template needed.
- any template in the list underneath.
Which prices are kept
This is the part worth understanding, because it decides what happens a year from now.
A line you left at its catalogue price is not stored on the template. When someone uses it, the quote takes whatever that article costs that day — so a supplier's price rise reaches every future quote on its own.
A line where you typed a different price is stored, because you chose that number. The same goes for a whole-job price: if your standard installation sells for a set amount, the lines still show but the total is your amount.
A standing discount is not taken off a price you decided. A fixed price is fixed — the same rule as a discount on a line, which replaces rather than stacks (Price one project for several companies).
When a kept price gets old
A price you decided is remembered along with the day you decided it. If any of the articles behind it have been re-priced since, starting a quote from that template says so and names them, so you can check before you send. It does not stop you — it just refuses to let the number go quietly out of date.
If an article has been removed from your catalogue altogether, the template says which line it left out rather than dropping it silently.
Who can use a template
You choose when you save it: everyone in the workspace, or only you. Use "only me" for your own shortcuts, and the workspace for the offers your company actually stands behind.
