Connect a deal to a project

Selling the work and delivering it are two records, and the question "what happened to this after we won it" is asked from the deal. The Prosjekt card answers it, in the right-hand column of a deal's overview, next to what was offered and the upcoming activities.

The card only exists for a workspace that has the Projects module.

Connect one that already exists

  1. 1Open the deal and stay on its overview.
  2. 2In Prosjekt, Koble til et prosjekt.
  3. 3Søk i prosjekter and pick it.

The card then shows the project's name, the phase it is in, and its dates. Clicking the name opens the project.

Create one from the deal

Opprett et prosjekt fra denne salgsmuligheten makes a new project that starts out already connected, and fills it in from the deal: the same name, the same customer, the same owner, the deal's close date as the start date, and the deal's value as the budget. If the deal carries an agreement period, the project's end date is set that far out. It lands in your first project phase, like any other new project.

Nothing is copied twice: pressing it again on a deal that already has a project takes you to the one that is there.

Have it happen on its own

An admin can switch this on once for the whole workspace, under Prosjekter in tenancy settings: Opprett et prosjekt når en mulighet vinnes.

It is off until somebody turns it on, and it only appears for a workspace that has the Projects module. Winning a deal that already has a project changes nothing. See Mark an opportunity as won for what else happens at that moment.

Take it off

Koble fra prosjektet. The project itself is untouched, it simply stops being this deal's project.

A project can carry several deals at once, which is the normal shape for a campaign or a framework agreement. The reverse view, and the way in from the project's own screen, is The deals behind a project.
