Send a test copy of an email to yourself before sending it
Before you send an email or a mail-out, you can send one copy to yourself and check it in your own inbox: the layout, the attachments and the merge fields.
In the email composer, click Send til meg selv next to the send button. One copy goes to the email address on your own profile.
The copy is the real email, only addressed to you:
- It goes out from the same mailbox as the real send, with the same reply-to address, sender name and attachments.
- Merge fields such as the recipient's name are filled in for the record you are sending to: the person in the To field, or the first recipient when you send to many people at once.
- If a merge field has nothing to fill it with, the test stops with the same message the real send would give, so you can fix it first.
Nothing else happens. The test is not logged on the customer, contact or lead, it does not create a follow-up, it does not file attachments on the customer, and a scheduled send stays scheduled. The composer stays open with your email as it was, ready to send for real.
The live preview beside the editor shows the same email without sending anything; the test copy is for checking how it looks in a real mail program.
Preview a support reply
The support inbox has its own reply editor. Choose Forhåndsvis beside Send to check the email body, saved signature, inline pictures and attached-file names without sending or saving a comment. Close the preview to continue editing the same draft. The customer portal link is added only to the actual sent email. Send to myself remains available in the regular email composer.
