Put mail on the customer automatically
By default a synced mailbox fills the E-post tab and nothing else: getting a message onto a customer means opening that customer and using Importer {{count}} tråd(er), one message at a time. Switch this on and the mailbox files its own correspondence as it arrives.
Turning it on. Open E-post & Kalender, go to Innstillinger, open the account and turn on ⟦Legg e-post automatisk på kunden⟧. It is per mailbox, so each colleague decides for their own, and it only appears while E-postsynkronisering is on.
What gets attached. En e-post til eller fra noen i CRM-et blir knyttet til dem og selskapet deres med en gang den kommer inn, slik at ingen trenger å finne den og importere den. Bare en nøyaktig treff på e-postadressen teller.
So a message from a contact lands on that contact and on the company they belong to, which is where most people go looking. A message to or from a company address lands on that company. A message to or from a lead lands on the lead. Everything else is left where it is.
Only an exact address counts. Matching on the domain instead would attach every private message from a gmail.com address to whichever customer happens to have signed up with one, so it is deliberately not done. If a person writes from a second address that is not in your CRM, add it to their contact card and mail from that address starts being filed too.
Your own address is never the match, which is why a note to a colleague does not land on a customer just because your address is on it.
It only ever adds. Turning the switch off stops new mail being filed and leaves the correspondence already on records alone. Nothing is moved out of your mailbox, and nothing is deleted in Outlook or Gmail. To take a single message off one record, use the bin on that record's email row: Reading and sending mail inside DealJourney.
History. Filing starts from the moment you switch it on, so older mail already in the E-post tab is not filed retrospectively. Ask support if you want your history filed in one pass.
