Add a tab to a record page

Create the tab

1. 1Open any customer, sale, activity, or any record of one of your own objects. Which record you pick does not matter: you are editing the layout every record of that type will use, and only that type. Which records you can build tabs on
2. 2At the bottom of the record panel on the left, choose ⟦Rediger layout⟧.
3. 3Above the tabs, choose ⟦Tilføj fane⟧.
4. 4Type the Fanenavn and pick an Ikon. The icon is what people see when the bar is narrow, so choose one that will still say what the tab is.
5. 5Tilføj. The new tab is added at the end of the bar and opens ready to build. Put fields and groups on a tab

There is no separate save step. Tab changes are written as you make them and the status beside the tabs tells you where the save is; if one fails it says so and offers to try again, and nothing you typed is lost in the meantime.

Give the tab a title

The tab name is the short label on the bar. The heading shown at the top of the page can be longer and more explanatory. While editing, set ⟦Titel der vises på denne fane⟧ at the top of the tab. Lad stå tomt for at bruge fanens navn ({{name}}).

A heading that only repeats the tab name is not printed on the page, because the bar directly above already says it. The tab starts at the top instead, and you get that row back for fields.

Reorder, hide and delete

Everything below happens while ⟦Rediger layout⟧ is on, and applies to everyone in the workspace.

• Reorder. Every tab grows a grip on its left. Drag it along the bar. Put the tabs people open every day at the front.
• Hide. The eye on a tab switches it off (⟦Skjul fane⟧) without deleting anything. Use this for built-in tabs your company does not work with. The record keeps its data and the tab can come back at any time with ⟦Vis fane⟧. The bar always keeps at least one tab, so you cannot leave a record with nothing on it.
• Delete. Only your own tabs can be deleted, and you are asked to confirm: Slet "{{tab}}" og alt på fanen? Dette kan ikke fortrydes. The fields themselves and their values survive, because they belong to the record rather than to the tab. What is lost is the arrangement.
• Undo. ⟦Fortryd⟧ steps back the last change while you are still editing.

Choose who can see a tab

A tab with commercial terms or internal notes on it does not have to be visible to everyone. On your own tabs, while editing, open ⟦Faneadgang⟧. Vælg hvem der kan se denne fane.

You can filter by Adgangsniveauer, Teams and named Brugere, and combine them: someone who matches any of the rules you set sees the tab. Leave all three empty (⟦Intet adgangsfilter⟧) and everyone sees it, which is the default. ⟦Ryd adgangsfilter⟧ puts it back to that.

Administrators always see every tab, so that a tab can never be locked away from the people who have to maintain it. This is a visibility rule for the tab, not a permission on the data: a field somebody cannot see on this tab is still subject to the same access rules everywhere else. Tabs everyone has, versus tabs you arrange for yourself

Two settings on the tab bar are personal and change nothing for your colleagues: pinning a tab so it stays on the bar rather than in the overflow menu, and ⟦Vælg som standardfane⟧, which decides the tab you land on when you open a record. If a colleague sees a tab in a different place from you, that is usually why.
