Add panels to a tab

A panel is a whole working component rather than a single value, and it shows this record's own data. Paneler viser denne posts egne data. Træk og tilpas størrelsen, når de ligger på fanen. This is what lets one tab replace three: the contacts, the open deals and the timeline side by side, instead of a tab each.

Add one

  1. 1Open the tab, switch on Rediger layout, and choose Tilføj panel.
  2. 2Pick from Tilføj et panel. A panel already placed is marked på denne fane.
  3. 3It lands on the grid at a sensible size. Move and resize it from there. Arrange and resize what is on a tab

Two shapes of the same thing

Most of what a company has - its people, its deals, its contracts, its invoices, its support cases - can go on a tab in either of two shapes, and the picker keeps them in separate sections.

Overbliksskort: Ét tal, nogle få rækker, og hele listen ét klik væk. A card is the right choice when the tab is something you read at a glance - the money outstanding, who to call, whether anything is on fire - because five deals in a card take the room that one table takes once its search box, column headers and pager are counted.

Fulde lister: Hele tabellen, med søgning, kolonner og sider. That is the right choice when the tab is somewhere people work all day and need to sort, filter and export.

Nothing stops you using both. A card at the top of the tab and the full list under it is a common layout, and it costs no extra loading - both read the same data.

What you can put on a tab

Which of these are offered depends on the record type and on the modules your company has switched on. A panel for something you do not use is not in the list.

Company panels on an activity or a sale

An activity and a sale both belong to a company, so the panels that read a company are offered there too and show that company's data: its deals, its contracts, its invoices, its contacts, its tickets and its health score. The picker marks those as showing the linked company, so it is clear whose numbers you are looking at. On a record with no company attached the panels can still be added. They show Tilknyt en kunde for at se dette. until a company is linked. In the panel's settings, Skjul når ingen post er tilknyttet hides that panel on records without a company. The panel remains visible while editing, so the setting can always be changed.

On one of your own objects Work with custom records the list is shorter, because most panels are about a company: there is no health score on a machine and no invoice raised against a property. What you do get is the timeline, the note box, the record's files, the activities and calendar meetings booked against it, and the records that link to it. Anything else you want on that tab you build from its own fields. Put fields and groups on a tab

Set a panel's options

Select the panel while editing and open Panelindstillinger. Gælder kun dette panel på denne fane. The same panel on another tab keeps its own settings, so a compact timeline on a summary tab and a full one elsewhere are both fine.

Under Indstillinger, panels offer what makes sense for them, for example:

  • Kompakte rækker
  • Vis filterlinjen
  • Medtag relaterede virksomheder
  • Skjul det der allerede er overskredet
  • Kun læsning (ingen upload fra dette panel)
  • Vis hvilken post hver post hører til
  • Vis kun det, der stadig er åbent
  • Vis kun ubetalte fakturaer
  • Tag aftaler, der er afsluttet, med
  • Vis kun det, der ligger foran

The same panel settings also decide whether the panel appears on phones and tablets. Arrange and resize what is on a tab

Change a summary card for yourself, without editing the tab

A summary card carries a small gear in its top corner. You do not need edit mode and you do not need to be an admin: open it and you can drag the rows into the order you want, take out the ones you do not use, add them back, and flip the card's own switches.

  • The change is yours alone. It is saved to your account, so it follows you to another computer and nobody else's copy of the tab moves. Changing the tab itself is still a layout edit, and still shared.
  • Each placed card is separate. The same card on two tabs keeps two sets of choices, so a short one on a summary tab and a fuller one elsewhere are both fine.
  • Tilbage til fanens eget opsæt appears once you have changed something. It clears your version and puts the card back to whatever the tab says, including anything an admin changed in the meantime.

The rows on offer are the ones that card can show, for example Stilling, E-mail and Telefon on the contacts card, or Fase, Værdi and Slutdato on the sales card. Hovedtal is the big number at the top, and it can be taken off like any other row when the list is all you want.

This is the same gear the boxes on an activity's Overview carry, and it works the same way there.

When a panel says it cannot show anything

Du har ikke længere adgang til det, panelet viser. means the panel is fine but this particular person is not allowed to see what it holds; they see the message instead of the data, and nobody else is affected. Panelet kunne ikke indlæses. is a loading problem, and reopening the record usually clears it. A panel marked Panelet er utilgængeligt belongs to something that no longer exists: Dette panel findes ikke længere. Fjern det, eller vælg et andet.
