Save changes and recover unfinished records

When you create a contact, lead or custom record, or edit a task on its detail page, unfinished changes are kept as a recovery copy in the same browser. This copy is separate from the saved record: other people cannot see it until you save or create the record successfully.

If you leave for another page or another record with unsaved changes, choose Fortsæt med at redigere to stay, or Kassér kladde to leave and remove the recovery copy. Switching tabs within the same record does not count as leaving it.

After reopening an unfinished creation page, choose Gendan kladde to recover the draft, or Kassér kladde to start again. An unfinished task edit can return automatically when you reopen that same task. Drafts belong to the signed-in person and workspace, and stay in that browser.

A failed save does not mean the change reached the saved record. Keep the page open, correct any missing required information, and retry. A contract cannot be generated from a quote while its pending changes fail to save.
