Sales budget vs sales

Salgsbudsjett puts what you planned to sell next to what you actually sold, month by month, so the gap is visible while the year is still running.

Where to find it. Open Rapporter and choose the Salgsbudsjett tab. Workspaces with Goals switched on also have it as a tab on the Goals page. Both are the same budget, so a figure typed in one place shows up in the other, and it is also the target line in the sales forecast and sales budget dashboard widgets.

Choose who the budget is for. Selskap is the whole workspace, Individuell is one person, and Team is a team from Settings. Each one keeps its own budget, so a seller and the company can both have a figure without one overwriting the other. Velg hvem budsjettet gjelder for, så vises tallene.

Type the budget straight into the table. The Budsjettert salg column is editable; the rest fill themselves in. Switch between Måneder and Kvartaler depending on how you plan: a quarter figure is shared evenly across its three months, and the quarter rows are always the sum of the months underneath them. Nothing is stored until you press Lagre budsjett.

Faktisk salg comes from your won deals. Faktisk salg er avtalene som ble vunnet i måneden, talt på datoen de ble lukket. It is the same figure a revenue goal counts, so the budget screen and your goals can never tell you two different stories. A person's actual counts the deals where they are the owner or the co-owner, and a team's counts every deal owned by anyone in it.

On Reports, workspaces with Momentum can instead choose Momentums salgsregel under Mål faktisk omsetning med. This compares the same dated budget amounts with the current Momentum sales definition, including its chosen revenue date, invoice VAT setting and credited person. Open the counting explanation beside the choice to see the rule in use. For a team, each record counts once when its credited person belongs to that team. It does not also credit the co-owner or split revenue between people.

Forventet til i dag shows how much of the dated target is due by today using the Momentum working calendar. Past months are fully due, future months are not yet due, and the current month follows elapsed working days. Company closures and holidays apply to everyone; a person's time off applies to their own target. Team and company pacing uses the workspace calendar. Quarter and year progress adds the monthly expectations. A month with no working days, or without a target, has no expectation. The existing variance columns still compare actual revenue with the full budget, not this paced amount. See Choose what counts as a sale for the calendar and revenue rules.

The choice changes only the actual column for this view. It does not save a new budget or change the Goals page, forecast widgets, reports or Momentum settings. Quarterly and yearly rows still sum the monthly targets. If the figures cannot load, an error and retry action appear instead of a zero total.

Avvik and Avvik (%) are actual minus budget: green when you are ahead, red when you are behind, and blank for a month nobody has budgeted yet, rather than pretending the budget was zero. A month that has not started yet shows its difference in plain black, and switches to red or green on the first day of that month. A quarter or the year total stays black until its last month has started, so budget you could not have sold yet never shows as behind.

The year follows the same fiscal year as your goal periods, so a workspace whose year starts in July gets July to June here too. Use the arrows beside the year to look back at last year or plan the next one.
