Test a new module before it is released

Tilgjengelig i alle planerSlik gjør duÅpne i DealJourney

Some modules are opened for testing before they go on sale. If you join one, your whole company gets that module free while the test runs, and in return we ask you to tell us how it goes. You also get a chat channel for your company where your reports show up and where we tell you when they are dealt with.

Only an owner or an admin can sign the company up, because joining unlocks the module for everyone.

Find what is open for testing

  1. 1Open Markedsplass in the sidebar.
  2. 2Choose the Beta filter at the top of the page.
  3. 3Pick a card to read what the module does, what you get, and what we ask for in return.

The label in the top corner of each card says where that test stands: open to join, already being tested by your company, or coming soon. When places are limited, the card also says how many are left.

Ask for one that is coming soon

Some modules are listed before anyone can join them, so you can see what is on the way. Open the card and choose Dette vil vi ha. Anyone in your company can do this, and your company only needs to ask once. We use these requests to decide which test to open next, and we come back to you when it opens.

Join a test

Read the terms on the card first. They are short and they matter:

  • The module is free for your whole company while you test it. The card says how long your free access runs from the day you join, and once you are in it shows the exact date it runs until. If we give you more time, the card moves with it and you get a notification saying so.
  • We ask you to tell us how it goes. That is the whole price.
  • When the test ends, your access either goes back to what it was before you joined or stays unlocked. The card says which one applies before you join.

Then choose Bli med i testen. The module is switched on straight away and a chat channel is created for your company, named after the module.

Where you do the testing

Most tests run on our preview site rather than here. The preview site runs the newest version of DealJourney, so what you report is what we are actually working on right now. This site is a few weeks behind it by design, which means a problem you find here may already be fixed.

It is the same company, the same sign-in and the same data as here, just at a different address. Nothing is copied and nothing is set up separately. Anything you create while testing is simply in your account, exactly as if you had created it here.

Use Åpne forhåndsvisningen on the card, or the same button at the top of the screen while you are using the module you are testing.

Tell us how it is going

While your company is in a test, a Tilbakemelding button sits in the bar at the top of the screen whenever you are on that module. Choose it, say what happened, and send. We see which screen you were on, so you do not have to describe where you were.

Four kinds are offered: something broke, something was confusing, an idea, and it works well. All four are useful. Half a sentence is better than nothing. You can also add up to three screenshots: pick them, or paste one straight into the text box.

When you send, the window confirms it reached the DealJourney team. Your report also appears as a card in your company's test channel, so your colleagues can see what has already been reported. When we have fixed it, or decided not to change it, you get a notification and a new card in the same channel saying so, often with a short note from us. When a fix first reaches the preview site we may ask you to check it there, and if we need to know more we ask you in the same place.

Leave a test

Open the card again from Beta and choose Forlat testen. Your access returns to exactly what it was before you joined. Nothing you created while testing is deleted.

For everything else you can connect to DealJourney, see Integrations.

Hidden modules. Superadmins also see Skjult in the marketplace. It lists draft modules separately from the public beta list, including customer-specific modules. This view is for review only: it does not offer beta sign-up or grant access. Regular users and company administrators cannot see it.
