Which records you can build tabs on
The tab builder is not just for the customer card. It works the same way on four kinds of record:
- ⟦Kunder⟧ — the customer card.
- ⟦Muligheter⟧ — a single sale.
- ⟦Aktiviteter⟧ — a single activity.
- Every object you have defined yourself. See Custom objects.
You build a tab in exactly the same place on all four: open a record, choose ⟦Rediger layout⟧ at the bottom of the record panel on the left, and the tab bar grows its editing controls. Add a tab to a record page
Each record type keeps its own layout
A layout belongs to one type of record. Adding a tab to a sale changes every sale and nothing else: the customer card, activities and your own objects are untouched, and each of them has its own separate set of tabs to arrange.
That is deliberate. The tabs a salesperson wants on a deal are rarely the ones they want on a company, so the two are never forced to match. It also means you can start on one record type and leave the rest alone.
What is already there before you change anything
Nothing has to be set up first. Every record type ships with the tabs it has always had, in the order it has always had them, and that is what everyone keeps seeing until an administrator rearranges something. A sale opens on ⟦Oversikt⟧ with its quote, activities, meetings, contract, email and documents behind it; an activity opens on its own overview with meetings, email, documents and calls. Editing the layout starts from that, so there is no blank page to build your way out of.
What you can put on them
The building blocks are the same everywhere — fields, headed groups of fields, and whole panels — but what is on offer follows the record you are on. A sale offers the fields that belong to a sale, an activity the fields that belong to an activity. Put fields and groups on a tab and Add panels to a tab
The one difference between record types is the built-in tabs. On the customer card, on a sale and on an activity the built-in tabs are fixed components you can rename, reorder or hide but not rebuild. On an object you defined yourself the built-in Oversikt can be laid out too, because that record has no standard shape to protect.
