Update a company's data from the register
A company's registered details change without telling you: a new address, a new name, an industry that was never filled in. You can pull those straight from the business register onto a company you already have, without creating a second copy of it.
Do it
- 1Open the company from Kunder in the sidebar.
- 2Click Berik data, next to the company name at the top of its card.
- 3The register is searched on the company's registration number, or on its name when there is no number yet. Pick the right company from the list.
- 4You now see two columns: I DealJourney on the left, Fra registeret on the right, one row per field that differs.
- 5Tick the rows you want, or use Fyll bare tomme felt to take only what is missing and Hent alt to take the register's version of everything.
- 6Click Lagre endringer.
Nothing is written until you confirm, and only the ticked fields change. The company keeps its contacts, deals, notes and history. This updates the card you are looking at, it never creates a new company.
What is ticked for you
Empty fields are ticked automatically, because filling a gap takes nothing away.
A field you already have a value in starts unticked, and shows your value beside the register's. That is deliberate: a direct number someone replaced the switchboard with, or a trading name used instead of the registered one, is a decision somebody made here, and it should not disappear because the register disagrees. Tick it only when you want the register's version.
If everything the register holds already matches your record, you are told so and there is nothing to do.
What it can fill in
Company name, registration number, industry, industry code, street address, postal code, city, region, country, phone, email, website, number of employees and annual revenue, whichever of those the register holds for that company.
Fields the register knows nothing about are not shown at all. Your own custom fields are never touched here.
When nothing is found
- The company has no registration number and its name is spelled differently in the register. Search the register's spelling in the box at the top of the dialog.
- The company is in a country the register does not cover.
- The register was unreachable for a moment. Close the dialog and try again.
Picked the wrong company? Use Bytt selskap to search again. Nothing is written to the record until you save.
The same lookup runs while you create a company, so a company created from the register arrives with these fields already filled.
A small Danish company is missing from Company data
The full company-data provider does not cover every small Danish company or association. If the customer has Denmark as its country and an eight-digit CVR number, open Foretaksdata and choose Slå opp i det danske registeret. This free action is available without Prospect Finder and asks only for the company you selected. Opening the tab alone does not make a Danish register request.
The basic profile identifies CVR API as its source and shows the registered name, address, industry code and reported employee count. Zero employees remains zero; an unknown count remains unreported. It does not invent VAT status, filed accounts or credit figures. The reported industry code is kept for customer filters; other customer fields and consent settings are left alone.
Public results are cached for a day in the current server worker and browser session. The registry has a shared daily lookup limit; if it is reached, the view says to try again later. Advertising-protected companies are marked and their contact details are hidden in this view. Looking up a record does not give permission to contact the company.
