Schedule a job and send a crew

The slot. When is a day plus Start and Ends, not just a date. That is the difference between a job and a task: thirty visits in a day only work if each one knows its two hours.

If the end is before the start you are told rather than allowed: The end time is before the start time.

A job with no slot yet reads Not scheduled and stays in the list waiting to be booked. Every reschedule is recorded on the Trail tab, so "we moved it because they were not in" is answerable months later.

The crew. Crew is a list of people, not one assignee — the thing that most separates a visit from every other record in DealJourney. Two electricians and an apprentice go to the same job, and all three need to see it.

Everyone on this list sees the job. The lead is who the customer and the dispatcher ask for.

Add somebody with Add someone to the crew, give them a Role on this job if it matters, and use Make lead for the person the customer and the dispatcher should ask for. Take off this job takes somebody off. Until anybody is on it the job reads Nobody assigned yet.

Responsible is separate and is about accountability rather than attendance: the person answerable for the job, who may well not be in the van. A job with nobody set reads Nobody yet.

Changing the crew is recorded, so it is answerable who was actually sent rather than who was planned.

A note on the phone. The technician's mobile view is not built yet. Today a job is planned, scheduled and completed from a computer, which is fine for a dispatcher and awkward for somebody in a crawlspace. That surface is the next substantial piece of work on this module.
