Connect and use Uni Micro

Available on ProHow-toOpen in DealJourney

Connect a company

  1. 1Have a company administrator activate DealJourney in the Uni Micro marketplace.
  2. 2Open Uni Micro from Marketplace in DealJourney.
  3. 3In Connection, enter the Company key for that company.
  4. 4Set API base URL (optional) to your Uni Micro environment's address. The demo uses https://test.unimicro.no. Your integration administrator supplies the production address.
  5. 5Choose Test & connect. DealJourney confirms it can read the selected company before saving the connection.

DealJourney authenticates through its registered server application. Your users do not need individual API credentials. Production requires DealJourney's production approval and credentials; a working demo connection does not grant production access.

Approve access for a new feature

A new Uni Micro feature may need additional access approved by your company's Uni Micro administrator. An existing connection can still have its previous permissions even after DealJourney's application has been updated.

  1. 1Sign in to Uni Micro as an administrator and select the company connected to this DealJourney workspace.
  2. 2Open Markedsplassen, choose Integrasjoner, and find DealJourney CRM.
  3. 3If Uni Micro displays a request to update or approve DealJourney's access, review the requested permissions and complete that approval.
  4. 4Return to DealJourney's Connection and choose Test & connect. This checks basic company access; it does not yet check every feature's permissions.
  5. 5Retry the affected feature. If access is still refused, contact DealJourney support with your company name and the feature you were trying to use.

If there is no approval option in Uni Micro, contact DealJourney support for the update procedure for your company. Do not delete your DealJourney connection, change the company selection, or reimport your records to resolve a permission request. Deactivating an integration interrupts its access and should only be done with support guidance.

Import and automatic updates

Open Sync. Preview and import Customers first, followed by Contacts, Suppliers, Products and Invoices. Invoice history needs a linked customer. For shared history-import guidance, see Import a full invoice history from the accounting system.

Use Automatic sync in Settings to allow background synchronization or pause it. Manual synchronization remains available while paused. Hourly catch-up reads enabled inbound record types; outbound customer and product changes are sent using the explicit sync actions.

In Live updates, choose Enable live updates to receive customer, supplier, product, invoice and time-entry events. Refresh status shows received, waiting and failed events. Contact-person changes and changes to nested customer contact details are covered by scheduled catch-up. If an update fails, it is retained for retry; use Retry failed updates after correcting its cause.

Synchronize time

  1. 1In Time synchronization, an administrator selects a Workspace member, their Uni Micro employee, and the appropriate Uni Micro work type.
  2. 2Turn on Enable time synchronization for this member and choose Save time settings.
  3. 3Select From and To, then choose Sync my time. This action also appears on your timesheet once your mapping is enabled.
  4. 4To synchronize automatically, enable Automatically sync the last 31 days for this member and save. The automatic window is the most recent 31 days; select an older date range manually when needed.

Only finished entries linked to a customer already synchronized with Uni Micro are sent. Time linked to another ERP is excluded. Actual and billable minutes are separate values. Conflicting edits and locked entries need review rather than being silently overwritten. Approval, payroll and transfer into orders remain actions in Uni Micro.

Create and email an invoice

  1. 1Create an invoice in DealJourney with a customer, dates and product lines. Product lines must be linked to Uni Micro products with matching VAT and configured accounts. Invoice creation currently supports NOK.
  2. 2Under Send a DealJourney invoice to Uni Micro in Sync, select the Invoice.
  3. 3Choose Save draft in Uni Micro to create a draft without issuing or emailing it. Repeating this action reuses the same invoice.
  4. 4Enter Recipient email, choose Issue and email, and confirm the recipient. This issues the invoice and asks Uni Micro to email it. Verify delivery in the recipient's inbox. A sent invoice may require a credit note to reverse.

Uni Micro must have an active invoice number series and a no-delivery invoice distribution plan for draft creation. If a create or email request has an uncertain outcome, DealJourney retains the attempt and stops automatic repeats to avoid duplicates. Check Uni Micro before retrying an uncertain send.

Disconnect stops synchronization and keeps previously imported records. The saved company selection can be reconnected.
