Connect an accounting system
- 1Open Markedsplass from the sidebar and find your accounting system.
- 2Start the connection and sign in to that system when asked. Some require a key or token generated on their side first, which the setup explains.
- 3Choose what should sync, and in which direction.
- 4Map the fields that do not line up on their own — particularly customer identifiers and any of your own reference numbers.
- 5Run the first sync.
This is an administrator task and it is company-wide. One connection serves everyone, so it is set up once rather than per user.
Decide the direction deliberately. Whether customers created in the CRM appear in accounting, and whether changes flow back, is a real decision about which system leads. Two-way sync on a field that both sides edit will eventually produce a conflict, and it is much cheaper to think about that now than to unpick it later.
Match on a stable identifier. Organisation number is the reliable one. Matching on company name produces near-misses that quietly create duplicates in both systems, and every difference in punctuation or legal suffix is a new record.
Expect the first sync to take a while and to surface duplicates, where the same customer already exists independently on both sides. Resolve them early: they multiply, and every month of divergence makes the cleanup bigger.
Sync activity is logged, so check the log after the first run rather than assuming silence means success.
