Read email on a dark background

Emails are written for a white page, so for a long time DealJourney showed every email body on white, a bright panel in the middle of an otherwise dark screen. ⟦Mørk visning af e-mails⟧ changes that: when your Farvetema is Mørkt, email bodies are shown on the same dark background as the rest of the app.

It is on by default and marked ⟦Beta⟧.

Turn it on or off

1. 1Open Kontoindstillinger.
2. 2Under Præferencer, choose Generelt.
3. 3In ⟦Udseende⟧, switch ⟦Mørk visning af e-mails⟧ on or off.

The change applies the next time you open an email. It is personal to you and does not affect what your colleagues or your customers see.

Where it applies

Everywhere an email body is shown inside the app: the conversation in Supportsager, the email tab on a customer or contact, the customer timeline, and the email views. It does not change the emails you *send*, which go out exactly as you wrote them, and it does not change what a customer sees in the customer portal.

What it does and does not touch

Only neutral colours are remapped. A white or light-gray background becomes dark, and near-black or gray text becomes light. Anything with real colour in it is left exactly as the sender made it: photos, logos, coloured buttons, brand headers, charts.

That is deliberate. A blanket colour inversion would make every photo look like a negative and turn brand colours into something the sender never sent.

If an email still looks wrong

Some emails are built as one big image, or ship a hard-coded white block around their content. Those keep their own light look. There is no way to darken a picture of text without damaging it.

If an email is genuinely hard to read, switch ⟦Mørk visning af e-mails⟧ off and reopen it. You get the plain white rendering back immediately, and it is worth telling us which email did it while the feature is in beta.
