Link quotes to an activity

A single conversation often produces more than one quote. A customer on a call asks about two different things, and the second one only becomes a real quote a week later. Both came out of that call, so both belong on it.

An activity therefore holds a list of quotes, not just one. The panel on the right of an activity shows every quote attached to it, and each of those quotes shows the activity in its own activity list, so the history reads correctly from either side.

  1. 1Open the activity.
  2. 2Find Mulighed in the panel on the right.
  3. 3Pick the quote from the list. Only quotes belonging to the activity's company are offered, so set the company first if the list is empty.

The quote appears straight away, with its stage beside it. Click the name to open the quote itself.

Repeat the same step. The picker stays available under the quotes already linked, so you can keep adding as the conversation produces more. A quote that is already attached is not offered again.

Start a brand new quote from here

The plus button on the Mulighed heading creates a new quote and fills in the company, the person and the owner from the activity, then links it back when you save. That is usually faster than creating the quote somewhere else and attaching it afterwards.

Remove one

Hover the quote and use the unlink button beside it. This only removes the connection. The quote itself, and everything on it, is untouched.

Which quote the activity counts as its own

The first quote in the list is the one the activity reports as its deal: it is the name, stage and value shown wherever an activity is summarised, and the one an automation rule or an export reads. Remove it and the next quote in the list takes that place.

Everything else you can normally do on the activities list, including filtering and saved views, works here too (Filter a list).
