Find companies like one of your customers

Your best customer is the clearest description anyone has of the next one. On any company customer, open the Virksomhedsdata tab and use Find similar companies.

What happens. The public register is asked what this company actually does, where it is and what it turns over. Those answers become a Prospect Finder search, and you land on Prospect Finder avanceret søgning with the filters already filled in and the first results on screen.

What the search is built on. Three things, and a banner at the top of the results says which of them were available:

  • The industry group the register puts this company in. Not the industry typed on the customer card, which is free text and is filled in on very few customers. The group rather than the exact code, so a bookkeeper and an accountancy practice count as the same kind of company.
  • The country the company is registered in. Keeping the list in one market also keeps it in one currency, which is what makes the next filter mean anything.
  • A turnover band around this customer's own. Wide on purpose. A precise industry next to a precise revenue band is the quickest way to Ingen virksomheder fundet, so the search starts loose and you tighten it.

What it deliberately does not do. It does not pin the search to the same town or region. "Like this one" is about what a company is, not where it sits, and a small municipality plus an industry code usually returns nothing. Add Stedfiltre yourself if you want it, then search again.

When nothing comes back. If the customer has no organisation number there is nothing to match against, so add one first. If the register has a record but says nothing about what the company does or what it earns, there is no way to find others like it, and you are told so rather than shown a directory.

Then work the list normally - select what you want and bring it in as leads: Import companies and contacts as leads.

Build criteria from your whole customer base

On Prospect Finder avanceret søgning, use Lav kriterier in Find virksomheder som din kundebase. This reads every current customer you may access, including your own-or-team limits. Archived customers are excluded. It counts stored register industry codes and supported countries, and shows how many customers have those facts. It does not guess industry codes from your own industry labels.

Use Anvend kriterier to place all observed industry groups and countries in the search filters. Review and adjust them, then use the normal search button in Search for companies. Building or applying criteria does not call the company register. Revenue remains unfiltered because the stored customer amounts do not identify their individual currencies.

If no customer has a stored industry code, the page explains what is missing and leaves your search filters unchanged. Add company data before trying again.

Choose a suggested company list

Foreslåede virksomhedslister ranks the industry-and-country pairs already present in your readable customer base, with the customer count beside each one. Choose a suggestion to apply that industry and country to the search filters. Review the filters and use Search to fetch companies. Suggestions do not fetch or import companies automatically, and missing customer facts are never turned into recommendations.
