Add a form to a landing page
- 1Open the page in the editor from Landingssider.
- 2Add a Contact Form section.
- 3Under Skjemafelt, click add for each field visitors should fill in. Set the Etikett, Type and whether it is Påkrevd.
- 4For each field, set Send dette svaret til so the answer lands where you want it. See "Pointing a field somewhere" below.
- 5Open Page Settings and Innhenting av leads, then pick what each submission should create: - Opprett et lead fra hver innsending is on by default: Et nytt CRM-lead opprettes automatisk når skjemaet sendes inn. - Opprett et firma fra hver innsending: Bare når skjemaet spør om firmanavn. En innsending uten firmanavn hoppes over. - Opprett en supportsak if the enquiry should land in the support inbox as well - Varsel-e-poster so someone is actually told - Send e-post til den som fylte ut: En takkemelding går ut i det skjemaet sendes, så lenge det ba om en e-postadresse.
- 6Set Kilde som settes på hvert lead if this page is promoted somewhere of its own: Viser hvor henvendelsen kom fra, for eksempel linkedin-form eller kampanje-vaar. La feltet stå tomt for å bruke den generelle landingssidekilden.
- 7Save.
You can switch on more than one. A form set to create a company, a lead and a contact makes all three from a single submission, and files the contact under the company and the lead so you are not left joining them up by hand.
A lead already sits in a pipeline that prompts someone to work it. A company and contact do not, which is why the follow-up task exists: switch it on and a form making a company or contact also leaves a task against it due the same day, so the enquiry is not waiting for somebody to happen to notice it.
Thanking the person who wrote in
Send e-post til den som fylte ut sends a reply the moment the form is submitted, so nobody is left wondering whether it went through. It needs an email address on the form; without one there is nobody to write to and the step is skipped.
Leave the subject and message empty and a plain thank-you goes out. Write your own and you can drop the person's details into it by putting the name in double curly brackets: first name, last name, full name, company name, email, or the title of the page they submitted from. Anything the form did not collect simply disappears from the sentence, so a visitor never sees a half-filled template.
Pointing a field somewhere
Send dette svaret til decides what happens to the answer:
- Finn ut fra ledeteksten is the default. The field is matched on its label, in English, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. A field called Fornavn, Förnamn or First name all reach the first name.
- A named field (first name, email, phone, company name, job title, website) sends the answer exactly there, whatever the label says. Use this when your wording is your own: "Who shall we ask for?" pointed at first name works perfectly.
- Melding (legges i tidslinjen) puts the answer on the new record's timeline as a note, in full.
- Behold bare på innsendingen keeps the answer on the submission and off every record. Good for a question you want to read but do not want cluttering the contact card.
Everything a visitor types is kept on the submission either way, so nothing is ever lost by pointing a field nowhere. See See who filled in the form.
Worth knowing
Add the fields for real. The editor can show a preview with name and email even when the field list is empty. The published page only renders the fields you added. Publish with an empty list and visitors get a submit button with nothing to fill in.
Ask for less than you want to know. Every extra field costs completions. Email, name, and enough to route the enquiry is usually enough; the rest can wait until someone is talking to you.
A company needs a company name. If the form never asks for one, a submission cannot become a company and that step is skipped. The same goes for a contact without a first name.
Consent needs a consent field. Besøkende må krysse av for samtykke før de kan sende inn skjemaet. The field's name must be consent, or submissions are refused.
Republish after changing the form. The published page is a snapshot. Field changes reach visitors when you publish again.
Starting a workflow from a signup
Anything the page settings above do not offer, such as emailing a named colleague, assigning the lead, creating a task or starting a sequence, is a workflow rule. Use the Form trigger with the event "submitted" and pick this page under Lytt på. See What can trigger a rule.
The records a submission creates count as new records too: a rule on "lead created", "contact created" or "company created" runs for a lead from this page just as it does for one typed in by hand.
