Assign tasks and watch them move

Assigning. Set Assignee on the task, or use Group by assignee and drag rows between people. An Unassigned task is nobody's, and behaves accordingly.

The person you assign it to is notified, so assignment is how work is handed over — not something to do at the end for the record.

Four views over the same tasks:

  • Table — everything at once, sortable, with whichever Columns you care about: Estimate against Actual hrs, Comments, Files.
  • Board — columns by status. Drag a card to move it. This is the daily stand-up view.
  • Calendar — by due date, for spotting the week everything lands at once.
  • Gantt — start-to-end bars, for seeing what has to finish before something else can start.

Grouping is the fastest way to answer a question: Group by status for what is stuck, Group by assignee for who is overloaded, Group by priority for what to do next, or Group by project across projects. Totals sums the group.

Closing one. Mark done on the row, or drag it to the done column. Mark open reopens it. {{count}} open on a project tells you how much is left without opening anything.

Overdue work surfaces on the project card as Overdue tasks, which is the number to look at in a weekly review.

Checklist boxes respond immediately. Rapid changes save in order; if saving fails, the checklist returns to its last confirmed version without erasing newer text you are typing.
