Build a display
Open the public displays page and create one. Give it a title, choose its tiles, and set how often it refreshes.
The tiles available:
- Revenue — current MRR, won this month, active subscriptions.
- Pipeline — pipeline value, weighted pipeline (value × stage probability), open deals, deals closing this week, win rate, deals won this month.
- Activity — new leads this month, active customers, overdue tasks.
- Charts — MRR trend over twelve months, pipeline by stage, wins per month.
- Extras — goal progress against a target, a gauge, a countdown to a date, a clock, and a free text tile.
Six tiles is plenty. A screen with twenty is a screen nobody reads. Pick the numbers you would want someone to glance at and change their behaviour — and be honest that most numbers do not qualify.
Pair a number with a target. "Pipeline value: 4.2M" means nothing to most people walking past. The goal progress tile, or a countdown to the end of the quarter next to it, is what makes it land.
Refresh interval: often enough to feel live, rarely enough not to be noise. Every few minutes suits most numbers; a countdown ticks on its own regardless.
Getting the link. Each display has its own address, and each slideshow has another. Copy it and open it on the screen device: Get a display onto a television.
Add a saved report
Administrators can use Saved report on TV in the display editor. Choose an accessible saved aggregate report and Publish and add. For a report grouped by seller, booker or KAM, explicitly enable Allow employee names on this public display first. Anyone with the public link can see those employee names and figures. Reports that list customer records, ask for answers or group by free text are not publishable. Formulas can combine this report's own aggregate measures; registry measures stay private. Money reports must filter to one currency. Set the saved report's row limit to 1000; reports that reach the limit are refused rather than showing incomplete totals.
Publication keeps a separate copy of the report's settings, with live figures. The source records and filters are not sent to the public browser. Edits to the private report do not change this published copy: publish a replacement to change the definition. Add the copy to your display and save the display. Published copies can be reused on multiple screens and scheduled slideshows.
An optional Target (optional) adds a progress bar for a report with one sum or count measure, comparing its full period against your target. Leave it empty to show the report alone. Daily averages, distinct counts and multiple measures are not added together to invent a total. The report's own fixed currency is shown beside its title; it is not relabelled with the display's currency.
Stop publishing stops a copy on every display that uses it. Removing a tile from one display does not revoke the copy. A revoked or failed report shows an unavailable message instead of a zero or stale totals. No saved report is deleted by stopping publication. Publication does not start a Plecto sync.
Rotating the link issues a new address and kills the old one instantly. Do it when someone who should not have it does — and remember to update the device afterwards, or you will spend ten minutes wondering why the screen has frozen.
Deactivating takes a display offline without deleting it, which is the right move for a screen you only want up during a campaign.
