Proff is the Nordic business register people use to check a company's accounts, roles and owners. Every company you have a registration number for carries a shortcut straight to its page there.

Where to find it

  1. 1Open the company from Kunder in the sidebar.
  2. 2Find Snabbåtgärder near the top of its card.
  3. 3Click Proff. It opens in a new tab.

The same shortcut sits on every activity for that company, so you can check a company without leaving the task you are working on.

Which country it opens

Proff runs a Norwegian, a Danish and a Finnish site, and the shortcut picks the right one from the country on the company. When the company has no country, the length of its registration number decides: nine digits is a Norwegian organisasjonsnummer, eight is a Danish CVR number. Finland is only used when the company actually says Finland, because a Finnish number is the same length as a Danish one and guessing would send you to the wrong register.

Proff does not cover Sweden, so Swedish companies get no shortcut.

When the button is missing

The shortcut is built from the registration number, never from the company name, because two companies share a name and a name gets spelled differently here than in the register. A shortcut that appears is a shortcut that lands on the right company.

So there is no button when:

  • the company has no registration number on file. Add it with Organisationsnummer on the company card and the shortcut appears.
  • the number is not a real registration number, for example a VAT string or an internal code.
  • the company is in a country Proff does not cover.
