Set the language a template is written in

A template has its own language, separate from the language you use the app in. Set it with Språk in the template editor's left-hand panel.

It exists because of one thing: Datum som fylls i av kopplingsfält följer det här språket.

So a template that says "Vi ses" and then merges in "Friday, August 7, 2026" is the problem this setting solves. Set the template to Norsk and the same merge field writes "fredag 7. august 2026" - the whole date, in the order and with the punctuation Norwegian actually uses.

The choices are Same as the sender, English, Norsk, Svenska and Dansk.

Same as the sender is the default and is what every template written before this setting existed does: the date follows whatever language the person sending has DealJourney set to. That is right for an internal template your whole team uses in their own language, and wrong the moment one template is meant to read the same for everybody.

Pick a language when the template's own words are in that language. This is the normal case. A Norwegian company writing a Norwegian invitation sets Norsk once, and it reads correctly no matter who sends it - including a colleague who runs the app in English.

Companies that write to customers in more than one language keep one template per language, each with its own setting, and pick the right one when they send.

This affects everything a merge field writes as a date or a length of time - {{activity.date}}, {{activity.duration}}, {{general.current_date}} and the rest. It does not translate the words you typed; those stay exactly as you wrote them.
