Plan the year and compare with actuals

1. 1Open Budget and switch to Plan mot utfall.
2. 2If you have more than one company, pick one in the company menu. The combined view can be read but not edited, because each company plans in its own currency.
3. 3Pick the year with the arrows.
4. 4Fill the plan from Fyll i, or by hand: - Bara månader utan plan writes each month from your recurring lines and subscription income, keeping anything you already typed. Ersätt hela planen rewrites it. - Kopiera från {{from}} copies last year's plan, grown or shrunk by a percentage you choose. Months that already have a plan are kept. - Klistra in från kalkylblad: copy rows from Excel or Google Sheets with the category name first and then January to December. - Click any cell and type. Press Enter or click away to save, Escape to cancel.
5. 5Switch to Utfall and bring in what really happened. With an accounting system connected, Fyll i then Hämta från fakturor och leverantörsfakturor adds up the invoices you sent and the supplier bills you received, month by month. Otherwise type or paste the figures.
6. 6Switch to Avvikelse to see actual minus plan. Green is good news (more income, or less cost, than planned); red is the opposite.

Figures read from your books are shown in italics. Read them again at any time and they are refreshed. A figure you type over one is yours from then on, and reading again leaves it alone unless you choose Hämta dem och ersätt siffror du har skrivit in.

What counts from the books. Income is every invoice that has been sent, paid or is overdue, before VAT; drafts and cancelled invoices are not income. Costs are supplier bills before VAT, leaving out reversed and credited ones. Where they land is set per company under Bolag och kategorier.

A blank cell is not a zero. Leave a month empty when you have no figure for it yet. It shows as a dash and is left out of the difference, so an unfilled month never looks like a perfect result.

Quarterly and yearly payments land in the month they are paid when the plan is filled from the run-rate, not spread evenly, so the plan matches your bank.

Resultat per månad above the grid shows plan and actual side by side. Exportera downloads what is on screen as a file Excel opens.
