Outcomes and callbacks

The outcomes:

  • Interested — worth following up. Create the opportunity while it is fresh.
  • Not interested — a real answer. Log it, so nobody rings them again next quarter having learnt nothing.
  • Callback — they want to talk later. This one asks for a time; see below.
  • No answer and Busy — no contact. The number stays in play.
  • Wrong number — fix the record, or it wastes somebody's time again.
  • Do not call — they asked not to be contacted. This is the one that carries legal weight: honour it, and never use "no answer" as a soft version of it. It only stops the calling: texts, emails, sequences and marketing sends still reach them.

Outcome saved confirms it landed, and {{count}} attempts on the entry shows how many times this number has been tried.

Scheduling a callback. Call back when? — In 1 hour, In 3 hours, Tomorrow 9am or Next week 9am, or Pick a date and Time. Set a date and time to schedule the callback.

Scheduled callbacks collects them, and {{count}} callbacks tells you how many are waiting. Clear these before starting new numbers: somebody who asked you to ring back has already agreed to the conversation, which no cold number has.

Being on time matters more here than anywhere else. A callback taken twenty minutes late is a normal call; a callback taken a day late is a lost one.

For anything that needs more than a call, turn it into a proper follow-up on the record rather than leaving it in the dialer: Add an activity
