Let Dealy suggest a reply to an email in Outlook
Support questions often land in your own inbox rather than in a ticket queue. The DealJourney add-in for Outlook can have Dealy suggest an answer to the email you are reading, without making it a ticket first. Nothing is ever sent for you: the draft opens as a normal Outlook reply, and you press Send.
- 1Open the email in Outlook and open the DealJourney add-in.
- 2Under Reply with Dealy, optionally type a short instruction, for example "say we will look at it on Monday" or "keep it short".
- 3Click Suggest a reply. Dealy reads the email and the conversation quoted under it, and writes an answer in the same language the sender used.
- 4Read the draft and edit it right there if you want. If it used articles from your knowledge base, they are listed under the draft.
- 5Click Reply or Reply all. Outlook opens its usual reply window with the draft above the original email. Check it and send it as you normally would. Copy draft puts the text on your clipboard instead.
Not happy with it? Change the instruction and click Write another draft.
Dealy writes these drafts the same way it drafts ticket replies: it uses the public articles in your knowledge base and the tone and rules your workspace set for ticket drafts. It uses AI credits, and it follows the workspace switch that turns Dealy ticket drafts off. See Use Dealy to draft a ticket reply for the same thing on a ticket.
When you create a CRM record or file an email from the pane, its related CRM lists update after the server confirms the action. The email context remains visible during that refresh. Moving to another email clears the previous context so you never file a new message against the previous sender.
