Reach a contact from their card

Every person's card has a short row of buttons under Hurtighandlinger so you can reach them without leaving the page. The same row sits on an activity, where it acts on the person that activity is about.

What each button does

1. 1Open the person from Kontakter in the sidebar.
2. 2Find Hurtighandlinger just below their details.

• Ring dials the number on the card. When the person has their own number and their company has a switchboard, the button asks which one you meant.
• E-post opens a new message to them.
• SMS sends them a text. It only appears when texting is set up for your workspace.
• Møte starts a new meeting with them already invited.
• Teams opens a Microsoft Teams chat with them in a new tab.

About the Teams chat

The chat opens in the Teams app when you have it installed, and in Teams on the web when you do not. Teams looks the person up by their email address, so the chat only starts if that address is one Teams knows: a colleague, or someone at an organisation yours is allowed to chat with. If Teams cannot find them it will say so rather than start a chat.

Nothing is sent on your behalf. The chat opens empty and you type as usual.

When a button is missing or greyed out

• No Teams button at all means the person has no email address on their card. Add one and it appears.
• A greyed out Ring or SMS means there is no number to use.
• No SMS button at all means texting is not switched on for your workspace.
